for the record

so that I remember this next winter (or, more probably, later this winter),  yesterday was the January 10 that the girls spent 3 1/2 hours outside, straight. 

without coats. (or shoes apparently)

they ate lunch in the tent, their "play" tent they found in the garage and built themselves without help, in the record high 50 degree F temperature.

last year, on this date, we had over 45 inches of snow already, more was coming, and the high for the day was a (not even very cold for us) 22 degrees.

snow and cold is coming today, and we're so happy to have had yesterday!
