instead of staying at the crazy busy playground (really?! lines to go up the stairs and down the slides?) we drove a bit farther and spent the day, just the 3 of us (and a few others) at a completely different and completely lovely park...
then we rented this:

and put up fence posts, while Greta spent the day at our lovely neighbors' place.
the evening, we convinced the kids to go to the local Catholic church's Summerfest instead of our regular Saturday evening at the pool
where we watched beautiful dancing and (Jeff and I) ate awesome food.
This next week-and-a-half we're taking a "working holiday"
while we prep our "home and garden" and finish lots of little (and big) projects, to get ready to invite a few hundred people (not all at once) into our home.
Writing here will be sporadic for the next while, but I can't wait to share all we have been doing and will be doing around here! Have a lovely week!

ReplyDeletethanks Nikki! it's been a few days and we're exhausted right now, but we're in the home stretch! (we keep telling each other that with the mess from working in the house, things can only get better as we start to clean up :)
